Dear Friends,
I am pleased to extend warm greetings to all those gathered for the 30th Hermes Expo Awards Dir’u’ier. It is a tremendous accomplishtnent for any organization to achieve three decades of service and I salute Paul Kotrotsios and his team for their tireless commitment to the Greek-American community and promotion of business networking opportunities between Greece and the United States.
Congratulations to Philip Christopher, Paul Kalamaras, Dr. Zisis Chroneos, Vasilios Kolovos, Eleftheria Oikouta, Meropi Kyriakou, Markos Papadatos, John Kallas and Anthony Papamarkos for their well-deserved recognitions. Each has made an indelible mark in their particular field of endeavor with a lasting positive impact on the communities they serve. I can attest personally to the tremendous advocacy that Philip Christopher has brought to Capitol Hill for so many years.
No one has done more to ensure that the plight of a divided Cyprus remains front and center for members of Congress. His fierce impatience, his relentless and heartfelt demand that policy makers do whatever it takes to end Turkey’s illegal occupation of the island is a reminder to all that justice delayed is justice denied.
Thank you again for the opportunity to acknowledge the good work of the Hermes Expo and to salute these outstanding individuals who embody the best of Hellenism.
