Hermes Expo International, one of the most enduring and influential platforms connecting Greece, the United States, and the global Greek diaspora, is marking 35 years of continuous impact in the fields of business, trade, and institutional collaboration.
Founded in 1992, Hermes Expo International has evolved into a central institution for Greek–American enterprise, operating at the intersection of commerce, diplomacy, and community-building. Over more than three decades, the Expo has supported Greek businesses seeking access to the U.S. market, facilitated partnerships for American companies engaging with Greece, and created a trusted forum for chambers of commerce, regional authorities, government agencies, and entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate.
As part of its 35th Anniversary year, Hermes Expo International will convene an exclusive networking gathering in Athens, Greece, on January 15th, underscoring the organization’s enduring role as a bridge between Greece and the United States. The gathering will bring together institutional leaders, business executives, and key stakeholders from both sides of the Atlantic, as well as representatives of the global diaspora, formally launching the anniversary year.
Beyond its transatlantic mission, Hermes Expo International has played a particularly important role within the United States itself. In a vast and decentralized American business environment, where Greek-American professionals and entrepreneurs are spread across regions and industries, Hermes Expo has served as a central convening platform, helping the community build visibility, trust, and meaningful connections. By bringing Greek Americans together under one roof, the Expo has enabled collaboration, mentorship, and long-term partnerships across generations and sectors.
Reflecting on the significance of the anniversary, Paul Kotrotsios, Founder and President of Hermes Expo International, emphasized the organization’s long-standing mission. “Hermes Expo was built to be a bridge, between Greece and the United States, and among Greek Americans themselves,” he said. “Marking our 35th Anniversary in Greece honors our roots and our journey, while reaffirming our commitment to creating meaningful connections and opportunities for the future.”
The anniversary is not only a moment of reflection but also a reaffirmation of direction. Hermes Expo International continues to promote Greek products and services abroad, strengthen the Greek-American diaspora as a strategic economic force, and encourage innovation, investment, and cross-border collaboration between public and private sectors.
The milestone year will culminate with the 35th Hermes Expo International in the United States, scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey. The flagship event is expected to once again bring together businesses, institutions, chambers of commerce, and entrepreneurs from Greece, the United States, and beyond.
